Multimedia Design
Stephen has over five years of experience designing video content and delivery systems for large scale theatrical productions. His projects have ranged from multi projector video maps to a custom built 40' x 20' LED video wall.
Some of his selected credits include Chicago (Ram's Head Theatrical Society), South of Market: The Musical v2, The Laramie Project (Stanford Theatre and Performance Studies Department), The Wild Party (Ram's Head), Oh! What a Lovely War (Stanford TAPS), and Hairspray (Ram's Head).
Lighting Design
Stephen has over 20 lighting design credits to his name, in venues ranging from intimate black box theaters to 50' proscenium theaters. He studied lighting design under Michael Ramsaur at Stanford University.
Some of his selected credits include Next to Normal (Stanford Theatre and Performance Studies Department), South of Market: The Musical v2, The Wild Party (Ram's Head Theatrical Society) , Spring Awakening (Stanford TAPS) and Rent (Ram's Head).
Scenic Design
Stephen has recently expanded his experience to include scenic design. His interests include finding unique ways to integrate sets and video to create a stunning visual experience.
His credits include Chicago, produced by Ram's Head Theatrical Society.
Research
In addition to design work, Stephen has credentials in computer science and loves to conducted research in the entertaiment technology sector. During his time as president of LITES, Stanford's entertainment technology research group, he recieved the Herbert D. Greggs Merit Award for "Supersized Video," original research published in USITT's TD&T.
